The following instructions will help answer typical questions related to the login process and typical resolutions to problems you may face.

Identity Verification and Fraud Detection:

  1. BNYMellon Identity Verification is based on the email address on file with the bank.
  2. To help prevent fraud, BNYMellon will track the devices you access our systems from. BNYMellon will attempt to verify your identity when access our systems from an unregistered device.
  3. BNYMellon will contact you via your email address if your id is used to access our systems from an unregistered device.
  4. You can register a private device to avoid re-validation of you identity when you access our systems from a previously registered device.
  5. You should not register a public device to avoid unauthorized access of BNYMellon systems by individuals other than yourself.

Register for the Identity Verification Service:

  1. If you register for the Identity Verification Service you can reset your own password if required. This is a self service operation.
  2. When you register for the Identity Verification Service, you will be asked to provide answers to a series of private questions.
  3. BNYMellon will utilize your email address and Identity Verification in the event that you forget your password.

Using the Identity Verification Service:

  1. If you register for the Identity Verification Service you can reset your password after being subject to Identity Verification.
  2. The Identity Verification Service will allow you to reset your password if you can answer your secret questions.
  3. The Identity Verification Service will verify your identity by sending an email to your email address on file with the Bank.
  4. The system will give you a temporary password via email.
  5. After you use the temporary password, you will be prompted to enter a new password.

Device Recognition:

  1. My360 will utilize device recognition to provide enhanced security via emailed One Time Passwords (OTP). The system will automatically prompt users and send OTP to recognize devices.

Un-recognizing Devices:

  1. To un-recognize a previously recognized device, please contact the service desk and request that your User ID be locked and unlock. That will remove all recognized devices.
